Tropical Turmeric Cleanser Green Smoothie,

 Tropical Turmeric Cleanser-6

Where do I start with this green smoothie?! It’s such a good one! Our bodies do a pretty great job of detoxifying thanks to our livers. But it never hurts to help out by including foods that naturally detoxify our bodies. Kale is a great detoxifier, as are all cruciferous veggies. The glucosinolates in kale form isothiocyanates (ITCs) which help regulate detox activities in our cells. When you add kale to your green smoothies, you’re also adding great anti-inflammatory, antioxidants, and anti-cancer benefits into your day. Kale also has heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids which help fight cardiovascular disease. Is there anything kale can’t do for our health?
ingredients,
2 cups kale
2 cups coconut milk
2 cups pineapple
1 cup mango
Juice of ½ lemon
1 Tablespoon fresh ginger
¼ to 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric, to taste,  directions;
1. Blend kale and coconut milk until smooth.
2. Add remaining ingredients, and blend until smooth. Enjoy!

    Coconut Water Tips,

-Make sure it’s fresh juice. This seems obvious, but just like orange juice can be made from concentrate, so too can coconut water. It’s a whole lot cheaper that way. Read the label and make sure it’s the real thing.
-Make sure there’s no added flavors. The term “natural flavors” is a giveaway. You want your coconut water to instead have a label that reads “100 percent coconut water”. The flavored versions are another no-no. Avoid any added flavors or sugars.
-Avoid any heating or pasteurization. Pasteurizing kills nutrients. Just like you want cold pressed olive oil and green juice, you want cold pressed coconut water.
-Make sure your coconut water is made from young coconuts rather than mature coconuts because young coconuts have much more nutrient dense water than mature coconuts.

    hot water

12 Unexpected Benefits of Drinking Hot Water.

I think that most of us know by now that water is essential to our survival. We’ve probably also all heard doctors say that drinking roughly eight glasses a day is ideal. However, what most people don’t know is that warm water and hot water have some exclusive benefits of their own that you just can’t get when you drink water cold. Here are 12 benefits of drinking hot water:

    1. Weight Loss.

Hot water is great for maintaining a healthy metabolism, which is what you want if you’re trying to shed a few kilos. The best way to do this is to kick start your metabolism early in the morning with a glass of hot water and lemon. As an added bonus, hot water will help to break down the adipose tissue (aka body fat) in your body.

    2. Assists with Nasal and Throat Congestion,

Drinking hot water is an excellent natural remedy for colds, coughs and a sore throat. It dissolves phlegm and also helps to remove it from your respiratory tract. As such, it can provide relief from a sore throat. It also helps in clearing nasal congestion.

    3. Menstrual Cramps,

Hot water can also aid in diminishing menstrual cramps. The heat of the water has a calming and soothing effect on the abdominal muscles, which eventually can help to cure cramps and spasms.

    4. Body Detoxification,

Hot water is fantastic for helping your body to detox. When you drink hot water, your body temperature begins to rise, which results in sweat. You want this to happen because it helps to release toxins from your body and cleanse it properly. For optimal results, add a squeeze of lemon before drinking.

    5. Prevents Premature Aging,

There’s a reason you should want to clear your body of toxins: they make you age faster. Also, drinking hot water helps to repair the skin cells that increase the elasticity of your skin and are affected by harmful free radicals. Subsequently, your damaged skin becomes smoother.

    6. Prevents Acne a

The benefits for your skin just keep on coming. Hot water deep cleanses your body and eliminates the root causes of acne-related infections.

    7. Hair Health and Vitality,

Drinking hot water is also good for obtaining soft, shiny hair. It energizes the nerve endings in your hair roots and makes them active. This is beneficial for getting back the natural vitality of your hair and keeping it healthy.

    8. Promotes Hair Growth.

Activating the roots of your hair has another added benefit—growth! The hot water promotes the regular activity of the roots and subsequently accelerates the growth of your hair.

    9. Prevents Dandruff.

Hot water keeps your scalp hydrated and helps fight against dry scalp or dandruff.

    10. Enhances Blood Circulation and Promotes A Healthy Nervous System.

Another important benefit of drinking hot water is that it enhances your blood circulation, which is important for proper muscle and nerve activity. In addition, it keeps your nervous system healthy by breaking down the fat deposits around it.

    11. Digestion,

Hot water is particularly beneficial for digestion. Studies have shown that drinking cold water during or after a meal can harden the oil present in the consumed foods. This can create a fat deposit on the inner wall of your intestine, which can eventually result in intestinal cancer. However, if you replace the glass of cold water with hot, you can avoid this problem. In addition, hot water is beneficial to digestion, which is what you want after a meal.

    12. Bowel Movements,

Speaking of digestion, hot water can help to keep you regular, as well as make your bowel movements healthy and pain free. Dehydration can result in chronic problems with constipation. As the stool gets accumulated inside your intestine, the movement of the bowel becomes slower. It is always recommended that you consume a glassful of hot or warm water every morning when your stomach is empty. It decomposes any remnant foodstuffs and makes the movement of the particles smooth and less painful through the intestine.

    Health benefits of coconut water,

Coconut water is a very refreshing drink to beat tropical summer thirst. Its liquid is packed with simple sugars, electrolytes, and minerals to replenish dehydration within the human body.
Research studies suggest that cytokinins (e.g., kinetin and trans-zeatin) in coconut water found to have significant anti-ageing, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-thrombotic (anti-clot formation) effe
Coconut water has been generally offered to patients with diarrhea in many tropic regions to replace the fluid loss from the gastrointestinal tract and to reduce the need for intravenous therapy. The osmolarity of tender coconut water is slightly greater than that of WHO recommended ORS (Oral Rehydration Therapy) solution. Presence of other biological constituents like amino acids, enzymes, minerals, and fatty acids may account for this higher osmolarity. Nonetheless, unlike WHO-ORS, its water is very low in sodium and chlorides, but rich in sugars and amino acids. This well-balanced fluid composition, along with much-needed calories, would be an ideal drink instead of any other kind of soft drink beverages to rectify dehydration conditions.

Intraocular pressure is controlled primarily by the rate of secretion or rate of drainage of the aqueous humour. These will be building up pressure leading to increased risk of optic nerve damage, a pathological condition called glaucoma. Glaucoma is rated as the second leading cause of vision loss worldwide. It is also estimated that 66.8 million people are affected by glaucoma worldwide and 6.7 million are bilaterally blind because of the disease. Orange
Oranges are oval to sphere-shaped fruits with leathery, porous skin. Their color ranges from orange to red-orange. Oranges may be confused with other citrus fruits, such as grapefruits and tangerines. However, grapefruits are usually much larger and more yellow than oranges, and tangerines have a more flattened sphere shape than oranges.

    Health Benefits of Orange Orange

An orange packs over 170 different phytonutrients and more than 60 flavonoids, many of which have been shown to have anti-inflammatory, anti-tumour and blood clot inhibiting properties, as well as strong anti-oxidant effects.

The combination of the high amount of anti-oxidant (vitamin C) and flavonoids in oranges makes it one of the best fruits in helping to promote optimal health.

Arteriosclerosis: Regularly consuming vitamin C retards the development of hardening of the arteries.

Cancer prevention: A compound in oranges called liminoid, has been found to help fight cancers of the mouth, skin, lung, breast, stomach and colon. The high vitamin C content also acts as a good anti-oxidant that protects cells from damages by free radicals.

Cholesterol: The alkaloid synephrine found under the orange peel can reduce the liver's production of cholesterol. Whereas the anti-oxidant fights oxidative stress that is the main culprit in oxidizing the LDLs in our blood.

Constipation: Even though the orange "tastes acidic", it actually has an alkaline effect in the digestive system and helps stimulate the digestive juices, relieving constipation.

Damaged sperms, repair: An orange a day is sufficient for a man to keep his sperms healthy. Vitamin C, an anti-oxidant, protects sperms from genetic damage that may cause a birth defect.

Heart disease: A high intake of flavonoids and vitamin C has been known to halve the risk of heart diseases.

High blood pressure: Studies have shown that a flavonoid called hesperidin in oranges can lower high blood pressure.

Immune system: The strong content of vitamin C stimulates white cells to fight infection, naturally building a good immune system.

Kidney stones, prevent: Drinking orange juice daily can significantly drop the risk of formation of calcium oxalate stones in the kidney.

Skin: The anti-oxidant in orange help protect the skin from free radical damage known to cause signs of aging.

    What Beans Can Do for You;
Beans are a super healthy, super versatile and super affordable food. Beans are high in antioxidants, fiber, protein, B vitamins, iron, magnesium, potassium, copper and zinc. Eating beans regularly may decrease the risk of diabetes, heart disease, colorectal cancer, and helps with weight management. Beans are hearty, helping you feel full so you will tend to eat less.
As we get older, we need fewer calories and beans are a great way to boost the nutrition power of your meal without boosting the calories. A half-cup of beans has only about 100 calories.
All legumes such as kidney, black, white and red beans, chick peas and lentils confer health benefits.
    • Including beans in your diet several times a week may decrease the risk of colorectal adenomas (polyps), which may in turn lower the risk of colorectal cancer.
    • The Shanghai Women’s Health Study looked at the legume consumption of over 64,000 women and their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. Researchers found that consumption of legumes, particularly soybeans, was inversely associated with the risk of type 2 diabetes. The more legumes these women ate, the lower their risk of getting type 2 diabetes.
    • Eating beans regularly may lower the risk of coronary heart disease.
Okra Nutrients-  Quick Facts Okra is rich in fiber, both soluble and insoluble. Half its fiber content is soluble and is in the form of gums and pectin. Soluble fiber helps to lower serum cholesterol, reducing the risk of heart disease. The other half is insoluble fiber which helps to keep the intestinal tract healthy decreasing the risk of some forms of cancer, especially colorectal cancer. The fiber also helps stabilize blood sugar level by delaying sugar absorption from the intestines. Okra has abundant mucillage, giving it a slimy texture. While many dislike this slime, this mucillage provides some important health benefits. The slimy mucillage binds and inhibits the absorption of cholesterol, bile acids, and toxins. The mucillage in okra also helps alleviate the irritation, swelling, and pain in the throat associated with the common cold and cough.   okra-bhendi  A decoction of okra prepared by boiling okra in water has been found to be very useful in treating the itchy throat and persistent dry cough when you have a cold. Fresh okra has also been found useful in treating cystitis (inflammation of the urinary bladder). Other health benefits of okra are in the vitamin B6 and folate it provides. Half a cup of cooked okra provides nearly 10% of the recommended levels of vitamin B6 and folic acid. Because of it's high folic acid content, which promotes fetal development, okra is one of the prenatal vitamins recommended for pregnant women. Like yogurt (curds, dahi), okra propagates good bacteria in the intestines that help digestion. Okra is also rich in essential nutrients like vitamin C and iron. All these nutrients in okra can help reduce common ailments. Knowing the science behind these vitamins and their effects takes a proper education, like the masters degree from Saint Peters University Online. Okra seeds contain protein and edible oil that is as nutritious as many vegetable oils. Apart from all these health benefits of okra, this vegetable is also ideal for weight-loss as it is extremely low in calories and fat-free. - See more at: http://www.vegrecipes4u.com/health-benefits-of-okra.

    fruits

    Grapefruit;  Grapefruit

The grapefruit is a large citrus fruit related to the orange, lemon and pomelo. Grapefruits are categorized as white (blond), pink or ruby. However, this terminology doesn't reflect their skin color, which is either yellow or pinkish-yellow, but rather describes the color of their flesh.

Grapefruits usually range in diameter from four to six inches, with some varieties featuring seeds while others are seedless. The wonderful flavor of a grapefruit is like paradise, just as its Latin name Citrus paradisi connotes. It is juicy, tart and tangy with an underlying sweetness that weaves throughout.

    Health Benefits of Grapefruit ;

    • Acidity: Although grapefruit has a sub-acid taste, its juice actually has an alkaline reaction after digestion. This has a profound effect in the treatment of acidity in the digestive system that causes a host of other health problems.
    • Atherosclerosis: Pectin in this fruit has been found to be effective in reducing the accumulation of arterial deposits, and the vitamin C helps to strengthen and maintain the elasticity of arteries.
    • Breast cancer: In another study, the bioflavonoids found in grapefruit was discovered to even halt cancer cells from spreading in breast cancer patients, by ridding the body of excess estrogen.
    • Common cold: A common cold is usually your body telling you that you are overworked. A regular drink of grapefruit during a stressful period gives your immune system the boost needed to prevent it coming on.
    • Cholesterol: A certain compound found in grapefruit helps reduce the excessive production of cholesterol from the liver.
    • Diabetes: A diabetic can safely eat a grapefruit. In fact, more consumption of this fruit will help reduce the starches and sweets in the system. If you have a tendency towards diabetes, consume more grapefruit juice to prevent it.
    • Digestive disorder: This juice helps to promote digestion by increasing the flow of gastric juices. Eat the fruit together with its rind for its extra fiber that aids bowel movements.
    • Fatigue: At the end of a long and tiring day, drink a glass of grapefruit juice with lemon juice in equal parts with a little honey, to dispel all fatigue and tiredness.
    • Fever: Besides drinking plenty of fluids, also drink grapefruit juice to reduce fever.
    • Insomnia: A drink of grapefruit juice before bedtime, helps to promote sleep and alleviates insomnia.
    • Pregnant woman: The bioflavonoids and vitamin C help to reduce water retention and swelling of the legs during pregnancy.
    • Sore throat: Drinking a freshly-squeezed grapefruit juice helps relieve sore throats and soothes coughs.
    • Stomach and pancreatic cancer: The anti-cancer agents in grapefruit (especially in the rinds) are particularly protective against these cancers in the digestive system.
    • Weight-loss: This fruit has a fat-burning enzyme and can help to absorb and reduce the starch and sugar in the body. It is widely consumed by people who are trying to lose weight. If you don't fall under the category of people mentioned below (look at "Caution" colum), then take a glass of grapefruit juice twice a day and eat normally.

    Soursop Benefits for Cancer;
Soursop fruit looks like a custard apple but its flesh resembles the flesh of a jack-fruit. The scientific name of soursop is Annona muricata and the fruit is recognized by various names in various countries, for example, graviola in Portugal and guanábana in Spain. The taste of the soursop fruit is slightly sour and it comes with a flavor that can be described as a combination of the flavor of pineapple and strawberry. Its skin is spiny, but its flesh is juicy and delicious. More studies are required to prove the medicinal properties of this fruit so that it can be used in cancer medication. But consumption of limited amount of soursop is not harmful for health, cancer patients can consume the fruit regularly and can enjoy its health benefits. The seeds are not edible but the fruit pulp carries several medicinal properties.

    Health Benefits of Soursop;
The fibrous flesh of soursop helps improve digestive health. Cancer patients suffer from several digestive system problems like constipation, indigestion, due to strong medicines, chemotherapy drugs, etc. Such problems can be naturally relieved by consumption of fibrous fruits. Raw soursop can be used as a vegetable, just like raw jack-fruit.
Experts believe that regular use of this fruit can cure cancer (when detected in earlier stage). Soursop supplements are also available in market. Soursop benefits for cancer involve killing of cancer cells without damaging the healthy cells. So it can be a good alternative for chemotherapy. But unless and until such properties are proved scientifically, we cannot accept them as facts. Still, consumption of the fruit can definitely prove to be helpful for cancer patients. But excessive consumption should be avoided.
Along with the fruits, the bark, leaves and roots of the soursop trees are popularly used as ingredients in various traditional herbal medicines. Soursop leaves health benefits include calming the nerves. Tea prepared with the leaves works as a pain reliever. The sap of its leaves, or the flesh, can be applied topically to get rid of eczema, skin rash and swelling. Topical application promotes fast healing of wounds and prevents infections.
Cancer and its treatment (like chemotherapy) result in weak immune system. Patients are more likely to catch infections. Vitamin C in the fruit is an antioxidant vitamin that helps strengthen the immune system and helps prevent infections like urinary tract infection, cough and cold.
Chemotherapy results in low blood count. Soursop provides iron and thus, can improve the RBC count. It also contains riboflavin which helps relieve headache. Thiamine from the fruit helps boost energy levels. Cooper present in it helps maintain the bone health by promoting absorption of calcium from ingested food.
Soursop juice works great for liver disorders. It is believed that it can reduce inflammation of the urethra and thus, can lower symptoms like painful urination.
Some study reports show that the chemical present in soursop is almost 10000 times more powerful than Adriamycin, the drug used during chemotherapy and so it can be beneficial, if used to destroy colon cancer cells (without causing damage to healthy cells).

Soursop tea is used to treat gallbladder diseases. The extract obtained from the leaves and stems is believed to be effective in destroying cancer cells. Besides, soursop consumption can be beneficial as it does not exhibit side effects (when consumed in restricted quantity).
Studies show that soursop is beneficial in treating nearly twelve different types of cancer, including most common cancers like colon, breast, lung, pancreatic cancer and prostate cancer. It was also noticed that the immune system of the cancer patients who consumed soursop during chemotherapy cycles was not affected or weakened much, as compared to other cancer patients
Since soursop is rich in sugar, it should be consumed in restricted quantity. Moreover, excessive consumption of the fruit may contribute to neurological damage leading to the development of Parkinson's disease, as it is high in annonacin. It is true that one cannot rely upon the results of one or two studies about the use of soursop as cancer medication. No one would recommend use of the fruit as an alternative for chemotherapy, but cancer patients can consume soursop to reap its health benefits along with chemotherapy. It can at least lower the side effects of chemotherapy. And if it kills cancer cells naturally, then it's well and good. Cancer patients are advised to consult an oncologist or health care provider before opting for the fruit. The doctor will explain how much soursop would be sufficient for reaping its health benefits.

But the symptoms and avoidance of attacks can be dealt with nutrients that maintain balanced blood-sugar and cholesterol levels while enriching the blood with iron and other vitamins that slow us down.

Low Carbohydrate, Low Calorie Diabetic Treatment.

For the nearly 24 million Americans living with diabetes, the struggle to maintain balanced blood-sugar and cholesterol levels is ongoing. Along with keeping an active lifestyle, a well-balanced diabetic diet is the best way to keep diabetes symptoms at bay and head towards a diabetes cure. If diabetes control is on your mind, eating diabetes food, like breakfast cereals, as well as taking cholesterol supplements like garlic, helps keep sugar levels balanced so that you can live your life without having to stop and grab a bite to eat. Natural remedy for kidney stones & digestive tract disorders ;;Essential Nutrients, LESS Oxalates, to Eliminate Stones.  pic 8a
If you are suffering from the debilitating kidney level pain caused by calcium deposits in combination with oxalates, you may be surprise to know that natural remedies can flush the stones from your system. Quail eggs provide a natural and non-invasive solution that helps maintain a normal calcium balance so that there is a painless passage and lasting avoidance of stones in the kidney, liver or bladder.
As a food rich in magnesium, Vitamin B6 and potassium, quail eggs score high as a prescribed remedy for long-term stone elimination. The potassium reduces the excessive urinary calcium excretion that often leads to kidney stones. The high amounts of Vitamin B6 and magnesium, coupled with low amounts of Vitamin C, inhibit oxalate stone formation. i.e., High amounts of Vitamin C or other source of oxalates combine with calcium and reduce its ability to be absorbed. This is turn, creates calcium stone deposits. As a low oxalate, on the other hand, the calcium in quail eggs is readily absorbed into the body.
